Penguins can be heroes too.

W

ell, GTA fans — you were patient, and the moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived. Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and the Damned, the first of two Xbox 360 exclusive expansions, hits Live this week. Can we finally play the good guy? No, but at least there are new multiplayer modes.

Street Fighter IV arrives on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this week, and I've got to say: it looks stunning. Ryu, Ken and Chun Li are all present and accounted for. You'd best start memorizing button presses now — I doubt those special moves have gotten any easier.

The DS gets not one, but two retro ports this week. Dragon Quest V is more traditional RPG fare (albeit with the Toriyama touch). Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon let's players revisit some of the best tactical strategy gameplay that the NES had to offer. Either way, role playing game fans can consider their schedules filled for the foreseeable future.

Last up this week is a bizarre little side scroller for the PSP entitled Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?. Players control a penguin as he treks through the depths of the underworld to obtain sweets for his demon master. Sound strange? It should — this is an NIS America release.
