The bikini: capturing the male imagination since 1946.

hoever said that the brawler was dead? Apparently, developer D3 has brought the game type back from the brink by injecting it with bikini-clad samurai ladies. Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad features swordplay, button mashing and bounciness aplenty. Itagaki fans: I can only hope this Xbox 360 release tides you over till the creator of DOA Beach Volleyball gets his life back in order.

I'm sorry, but when I'm climbing up a ladder, I'd rather not have to contend with hallucinations of creepy schoolgirls foretelling of my imminent demise. While the first title didn't float my boat, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin could be your cup of tea. Part X-Files and all shooter, Monolith's latest releases this week for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Considering the Wii's hardware design, it's surprising we don't see a lot more light gun shooters for the system. Sega tries to right this anomaly with The House of the Dead: Overkill, a zombie slayfest that just might cause you to blow the dust off your Wii Zapper.

When I was ten, I loved three things: hamburgers, conspiracy theories and the Sega Genesis. Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection allows me to revisit one of those in all its glory. Featuring more than 40 titles from the system's heyday, this compilation is bound to bring a smile to nostalgic PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners. Streets of Rage? Awesome. Streets of Rage in HD? Awesomer.

Two interesting titles are available for download this week. On the Xbox 360, hockey fans get 3 on 3 NHL Arcade, the first arcade-inspired EA hockey game to be released in years. Meanwhile, all of us "artsy" gamers get to enjoy Flower on the PlayStation 3. Neither looks too shabby considering their $10 asking prices.
