Whoops. We forgot the fun.

W

hile I sit back and bide my time waiting for the release of Wii Calculus, the rest of you can have your fun with Safecracker: The Ultimate Puzzle Adventure. Apparently, this new Wii title from Kheops Studio features more than 35 safes that need cracking. Who knew a life of crime could be so methodical and full of logic.

Chrono Trigger was a blast. In 1995. As dear as this classic RPG is to my heart, I can't help but wonder if this latest Square Enix remake might have been a mistake. Without the benefit of a new graphics engine and hardly any new content to speak of, I think I'll just grab the original SNES cart out of my closet instead.

I'm afraid I've never quite seen the point of the Wii's various chef simulations. While games like Guitar Hero at least instill an appreciation for music, cooking games tend to boil down to tests of dexterity that lack any real educational value. While I'm not going to go so far as to write off Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine, the advertisement I just saw for Personal Trainer: Cooking on the DS did a lot more to excite me. To each their own, I guess.
