I know :( I never seem to you catch you. How about the premiere though, where they led us all to believe that Santos really DIDN'T die, but then it turned out to all be a dream? Those bastards...

That was a nasty twist I was very nearly in tears! And if you've seen the most recent one...Henry...that's all I will say incase I spoil it

You really do. It's not meant to be taken seriously, at all, even during the "dramatic" parts. It parodies a telenova, one of those spanish soap operas that are always on those weird static-y channels during the day time. Selma Hyack actually came up with the idea. She guest starts from time to time, haha.
The writing is really, really fabulous and the characters are likeable even when they're doing horrible things. This show toys with my emotions like no other.

It's the only telelvision show that I make a point to sit down and watch. The ONLY. show.
In fact, I had Phil watch it with me the other week, and he didn't even complain. Now, I'm not sure if this means that he actually ENJOYED it or if he was just being very well behaved...but it definitely didn't get any painful groans.
My father watches it. Proof that this show has hit most corners of the demographic...even going as far as pulling in a 60 year old retired man in.

Yeah, it's pretty good. I was completely lost while watching it, but I got some good laughs.
Please don't tell the others...

It's alright Phil, you're not alone. I got Curtis to watch some with me hehe.
The series is behind the American's here so I watch all of it on fanpop.com, they always post the lastest episode = )

I hadn't heard too much about this series until I read a brief review of the season 1 DVD set. Apparently, the show has a lot more meat than the passerby might expect. I may have to give this one a look...

I'll probably check out tomorrow night's episode over Live with Dana.

Omg really?
I really need to just send you a copy of the first season DVD so you can catch up. You can share it with Ed.
Last night I had this bizarre dream where I was trapped inside an episode of Ugly Betty. David Hasselhoff made a cameo. NO I AM NOT KIDDING.

Celebrity cameos in dreams are the best. My recent favorites involved Ozzy Osbourne and NBA star Yao Ming :D

Episode 7 had me on the edge of my seat! Daniel is beginning to get a lil nosey!

To be honest, I didn't enjoy the whole broadway music constantly playing in the background. I enjoy broadway and musicals and the whatnot but didn't like the whole promotion for Wicked. Wicked has bothered me since day one and during the dramatic scenes all I could concenrtate on was the horrible singing!
Anyways...
Daniel is a pain in the butt, at least in this episode but I still think he's adorable. I'm actually beginning to like Harry and Betty's relationship less and less now that they've gotten together, and think a nice love interest should be introduced soon >.>

Yeah the music from Wicked was getting on my tits.
As for Betty and Henry's relationship I'm still rooting for the paternity test to have been wrong.
I really like their relationship, if there is a new love interest I really hope it isn't that smarmy Gio guy!

Gio annoys me. He just looks greasy and dirty. Betty may not be a prize to look at, but at least she's not a greasy, snarky sandwich guy. He seems to be into her though, at least I think he does. Henry is of course her ideal match...so I don't think they're going to be able to be together. Otherwise you haven't got much of a tv show, unfortunately.
The characters have to suffer.

I just watched last night's episode a few minutes ago on abc.com and all I have to say is holy crap. This is the kind of episode that would have made sense if it was a season finale, but it's only November!
It was a massive tear-jerker (again) and really leaves the story line wide open, which leads me to speculate whether this is one of those "holiday hiatuses" that have become the annoying trend for November-January. I'll be cranky if there aren't any new episodes until January, but I also won't be too surprised, either.

I'm about 4 episodes behind at the moment. Since my pc crashed a few weeks ago, when I downloaded Quicktime, everytime there is something Quicktime related on a site, it comes up with the Q and a question mark in the centre. If anyone knows why this is happening or how I could fix it I would really appreciate it!

And then there's that little thing called the WGA strike, which (if prolonged) would GUARANTEE no new episodes from January on.

Dana got the first season on DVD for Christmas, and we started watching the first few episodes last night. I really get a good laugh out of this show. They seem to mix things together so well in every episode.
