JS didn't mention the worst part of the game... The sound effects, the rest is solid, but man do the sounds make me want to punch something, especially in the menus.

I heard about that firsthand, including the game's announcer (e.g., "IS THAT BANANA?!"). Still, given the game's conception — a tongue-in-cheek side project — I assumed the tackiness was intentional.

Intentional cheese is one thing, but forcing me to mute it every time I turn it on, is beyond terrible.

Yeah, some of the sounds are "interesting choices" to say the least.

I only played the trial & thought it was fun, albeit lacking in terms of things to do (which is what stopped me from purchasing).

I do completely agree with the sounds complaint though. Those menu transition sounds were terrible.

I was hoping when Dana and I played the demo that 3-on-3 NHL Arcade would be the next Blades of Steel. Sadly this game really didn't get those memories coming back. I found the game to be fun, but at the current price probably not enough for a purchase without a larger interest.

I havent played it yet, but it looks like NHL Hitz with bobbleheads to me

I wish it had been that. I LOVED NHL Hitz 20-03. It certainly has similarities to Hitz but it's nowhere near that good.

Hitz is way better, but Hitz was also 5 times more expensive, and didn't feature any kind of online play.
