Nice review! I agree on about everything you said. My problem was exactly as you said, no real urge to progress the story. Also the fact that each mission had you drive all the way across the map was extremely frustrating ESPECIALLY when checkpoints that you take out respawn bad guys. It would be ok if the driving mechanics didn't suck so bad. It really is these shortcomings that prevent me from putting this game into the 360 often.

I have a free copy of Far Cry 2 for my PC, but I only got as far as downloading it from the Steam client. I'll have to get around to trying it out.

I wasn't there for that but I heard the story the next day & ended up finding a video of it on YouTube when I got back home.

I'm not sure why this game is so dull, but it really didn't interest me in any way when I had some time with it.
