I've decided it's time to get me a new PC with what's left of my Stafford Loan this semester since I really need a new PC, both for gaming and for school (this one seems to run Visio 2003 just fine - I got it free with my class - but it eats up a lot of HDD space :( ) so I called Dell and we came up with the following:

The current plan, of course, is to replace the NIC with a wireless one, add a router, and possibly upgrade to Vista Ultimate, possibly add a 56k modem *just in case*, etc. Those upgrades are not factored into the above price. What do you guys think?

It took me a little bit to go through that lol, but I think your probably fine staying with Home Premium. Ultimate only has a few extras, not sure of all the differences but there are not many over Home Premium.(You could probably find it on the MS website). Overall that looks like a pretty good system, if you throw in a better Video Card it looks like it would be pretty good for gaming too.
