Today some one broke into my house while I was handling clients in the massage clinic. If you see the tag "shockmanronin" it is not me. A new PC, 22inch and 19in hp flat panel monitors stole, and of course my XBOX360. Fate saved the thief's ass today. I was almost home early.

I'll post my new tag as soon as I get my unit replaced.

Be safe all of you.

dam! that sucks man, do you have home owners insurance? That would probably be the best way to go.

Rotten news, Wes. Here's hoping to a quick (and painless) replacement. Or the return of your property.

I'm really sorry about that. That's just awful...I really hate it when people are crappy like that.

That is completely terrible. I really hope the cops catch the crook or crooks involved and return your property intact.

Yes I have insurance. Sucks that I have to go through and inventory my stuff and make a list. My kids are taking it a lot harder. I have 3 kids 2 of which have autism. The computer was more theirs than mine. Oddly the left my rig alone. I think it was more than they could carry and leave fast. Luck for the thief I helping another therapist by covering her appointments otherwise I would have either been home and no one would have come or I would've walked in on him. Sucks when you try to do the right thing and you get bad luck.

Sorry I am just pissed.

Anyone know how to contact live to cancel an account?

That's some lousy news Shockman. I do have some good news for you, a quick search tells me that you can cancel your account by calling microsoft at (800) 4MY-XBOX. Just let them know what happened. You also may want to consider canceling your credit card if you used one to create your account or linked one to it for buying stuff. This @$$hole already stole from you once don't let him get you twice.

There are few things in this world I truly hate, but thieves make the short list. Take care, Wes -- here's hoping this mess straightens itself out soon :(

Thank you everyone for your words of support. I learned through microsoft that because I used a prepaid card. I cannot cancel my live account but I can do a console transfer when I get a new unit it. Until that happens assume it is not me when it shows. It is linked to my window live messenger to it may show when I am legitimately online.

Thanks again everyone.

You know, there was a kid who had his Xbox recently stolen. The police wouldn't do anything so he took action.

He made a list of the items stolen and called around local pawn shops within so many miles of his own home to see if anyone walked in attempting to pawn any of the items stolen (including his xbox). Well, turns out a the kid tried to pawn a laptop from his apartment and the pawn shop handed him a picture of the kid from a security camera to take the police. Still the police wouldn't do anything until he hooked up his new xbox and the thief started harassing him. STILL the police wouldn't do anything. It wasn't until the intertubes came to the rescue and found out all the information about the thief and harassed HIM relentlessly about his thieving ways finally he turned himself in.

Anyways! I think the point I'm trying to make is do some detective work on your own starting with pawn shops. Never hurts to try and use some of that pumped up I'll-beat-the-snot-out-of-the-thieves energy towards a little man hunt.

Anyways, sorry to hear about what happened bro. You're not on my list, but if you were I'd harass the guy if I saw him online ;-)

Sorry to hear about your loss, Shockman. It's terrible what they did to you, and I hope they get caught. People like this make me so mad. I hope the insurance company works with you to get everything replaced.

This is to inform everyone that I replaced my stolen xbox with an elite edition. I also performed a console recovery of my tag so its good. Sucks that I have lost of a lot of game saves and down loadable content. Here's to starting over.

Good to hear you're back online Shockman.

Um I think your DLC may still be recoverable, if I'm think about the correctly it should be linked to your gamertag. Just select your gamertag from the xbox live blade then go to account management then download history. Everything should be there unless I'm thinking about this completely wrong.

As long as you have the account that you purchased the DLC with you should be able to redownload even on a different xbox, go to the download and you shouldn't have to pay again for the DLC.
It sucks that your 360 was stolen, I don't understand people, hopefully they get a red ring or something and end up with a useless box.
