Not sure how many of you guys and gals are fans of Radiohead, but their newest album, titled In Rainbows, went on sale last Tuesday.

There are currently only two ways to get the album, both of which are accessed via this site (http://www.inrainbows.com/). The first option is an MP3 download: you decide how much you want to pay them for the album, just be aware that you'll at least be paying $1 as a transaction fee. The second option is a monstrous box set (including two records, two CDs and a hard bound book) which will set you back around $80 US.

Though the first track on the album was a bit of a turn off, the rest was pure butter!

You know, I honestly wonder how that whole having everyone choose what they pay thing is working out for them. I heard on the radio that a few other bands are gonna head in that direction as well.

Yeah... it's sort of like leaving Halloween candy on the front porch with a sign that says "Take one. Don't be greedy!"

Of course, Radiohead is in a great position. They don't have to pay a record label anything, so after recouping their own production costs, every penny made is pure profit. It will be interesting to see.

I would be more likely to pay a full price for this album over anything else out there. I have even more respect for them now.

Indeed, Tony. At first listen, I wasn't too impressed. I've gone back to the album many times over the last few days, though, and I must say: this is fast becoming one of my favorite Radiohead albums. It hasn't dethroned The Bends yet, but it's up there...
