ew first-person games have combined simulation and shooter like Codemasters' Operation Flashpoint series. Their latest, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, releases this week for the Xbox 360 and PC. Prepare yourself for some of the most brutally realistic multiplayer you've ever experienced — your first step out of cover will almost certainly be your last. And you thought sniping was obnoxious in Call of Duty.

As is customary for this time of year, two competing basketball franchises are arriving on store shelves: 2K's NBA 2K10 and EA's NBA Live 10. Supply never quite caught up with demand for the original, but Nintendo's already bringing a sequel to market: Wii Fit Plus adds a number of new exercises and tracked statistics, featuring modes that cater to an even more diverse range of player ages and activity levels. It's shipping both as a software-only release and with the Wii balance board packed-in.
