More Wallace & Gromit and Ghostbusters!

T

elltale has just released the latest of their episodic Wallace & Gromit games. Muzzled!, the third of four monthly releases, shows the same great production values as the first two titles in the series. This time around, Wallace and Gromit must save their town (and its stray dogs) from Monty Muzzle, a crook who's set to profit off the canines' misfortune. Will they succeed? Will the strays find a new home? Find out in this fun (and bite-sized — it took about four hours to complete) adventure game for the PC. Like the other games in Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, I can't recommend it enough for longtime fans and anyone looking for some old school point-and-click fun.

After more than a year of marketing hoopla, Ghostbusters The Video Game finally arrives for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. Heralded by Dan Akroyd as "the third Ghostbusters film" prior to the announcement of an actual third Ghostbusters film, this game features the voice acting talents of most of the original cast and a script penned by Akroyd and Harold Ramis. Regardless of the platform you choose, this one's sure to offer up some outstanding one-liners, and the source material should provide plenty of worthy play mechanics. Look for our full review later next week.

Have you ever wished you could play the tunes from the original Guitar Hero and its earlier sequels in last year's World Tour, complete with vocals and drum support? Well, now you can. Guitar Hero: Smash Hits pulls some favorite tracks from the original games and updates them to support the new instruments. While not comprehensive, its setlist does a good job covering the bases. Pick it up this week for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and Wii.
